Leasing an electric vehicle
As of July 1st, 2022, electric vehicles (EVs) and their associated expenses—such as accessories and delivery fees—are exempt from Fringe Benefits Tax, provided they fall under the luxury car tax threshold for fuel-efficient vehicles ($91,387 FY25 - 26). The Electric Car Discount Bill has made EVs more accessible than ever in Australia, offering savings for your wallet while also benefiting the environment.
An annual after-tax benefit of $10,890.45 has been calculated based on a 2025 Tesla Model 3 Performance AWD with 15,000 annual kilometres. Individual savings will vary depending on salary and personal circumstances.

Keep Your Motor Running
If novated leasing isn't a possibility for you - either due to extended leave, or the fact that your employer doesn't offer it as an option - we can still help you to enjoy some of the perks that come alongside vehicle leasing. This is available through our Keep Your Motor Running service.
How it works
Our team will help determine your annual vehicle budget by reviewing your past and estimated future usage. Using this information, we’ll evenly spread your payments according to your preferred schedule—weekly, fortnightly, or monthly.
Like novated leasing, Keep Your Motor Running goes beyond just the cost of the vehicle. Your regular payments can cover fuel, maintenance and servicing, insurance, registration, tyres, car washing, and roadside assistance—making vehicle management simple and stress-free.
Set-up Process
Once we’ve calculated your annual vehicle running costs and completed the necessary documentation, you’ll receive a fuel card from your chosen provider (referred to as above) to start using immediately. At the same time, we’ll set up Keep Your Motor Running deductions from your nominated bank account for a seamless experience.
Application
Keep Your Motor Running users also enjoy access to Apex’s mobile app and client portal. These convenient tools allow you to submit bills or expenses for payment and easily track all your vehicle-related costs in one place.

To enhance your experience, Apex Novated Solutions offers a client portal designed to help you manage and track all your vehicle details in one convenient location. You’ll also receive a user manual to help you get the most out of the portal’s features.
The portal provides a complete view of your vehicle lease(s) and allows you to submit expense claims easily—for either payment or reimbursement—making vehicle management simple and efficient.
